Registration Timeline

Registration Dates: February 26, 2024 - March 22, 2024
  • Course descriptions can be found in the KHS 2024-25 Program Planning Guide.  
  • ​Students will complete their registration and enter course selections into Powerschool. Students are highly encouraged to bring their completed course selection sheet that was given to them in class. ​
  • All applications are due by March 28, 2024.
  • Course verifications will be provided on April 2, 2024.  Students will have until April 5, 2024 to return with a parent/guardian signature for agreement or to make changes. 
  • No changes to course selections will be made after Friday, April 5, 2024.
Week of February 26, 2024
11th Grade Students (Rising 12th Grade Registration)
Counselors will meet with students in small groups of 4-5 (Junior Conferences) through English III and/or American History classes. If students do not have either of these courses this semester, they will have a scheduled appointment.  

Week of March 4, 2024
10th Grade Students (Rising 11th Grade Registration) 
Counselors will meet with students through their English II course.  If students do not have English II this semester, they will have a scheduled registration appointment with a counselor in a small group setting.

Week of March 18, 2024
9th Grade Students (Rising 10th Grade Registration)
Counselors will meet with current 9th grade students through selected math classes.  If the student does not have the scheduled math class, students will have a scheduled registration appointment with a counselor in a small group setting.

ApplicationS

Some courses require students to complete applications to be considered for the course.

​Course applications are due by March 28, 2024. 
A Parent AP Waiver will be required for all students who request an AP course(s) they did not receive a teacher recommendation for. If a waiver is not received, the course request will be dropped from student's requests.

​AP Waivers are due by March 28, 2024.​
Rising Senior Applications
  • Rising seniors may request Modified Day (Early Release and/or Late Arrival for 1st and/or 2nd semester). Students must have two consecutive periods each day.  Additionally, student athletes must have 3 periods both semesters to maintain athletic eligibility.  Students must be on track for graduation and have met all requirements for Modified Day.   Applications are due March 28, 2024 for consideration.  No late applications or requests will be accepted.
  • Mid-Year Graduation is for rising seniors who need 4 or less credits to graduate and would like to graduate after 1st semester. ​Requests require a parent/student conference with the student's assigned counselor and must be approved by administration.

Rising Junior Applications
  • Early Graduation is for rising juniors who would like to graduate in 3 years. Requests require a parent/student conference with the student's assigned counselor and must be approved by administration.
